MSIS software is designed to keep up with the ever-changing requirements of the Louisiana State Department of Education. All codes in the programs are those defined by the State Department. Our software allows inquiry lookups on all codes.

MSIS has been designed to allow each school site to manage data on its own computer, independent of other school sites. The central office computer system collects site changes daily to maintain consistency between all site computers and to provide consolidated student reporting.

Our approach to designing this package is a dynamic one, that affords the users the opportunity to have input into current, as well as future programs.

All software designed by Methods, Inc. including MSIS, is written using a 4GL relational database language called Progress. Progress can run on a variety of computer platforms including SCO Unix and Windows NT.
